Overview
Volcán Lanín (3776 m) is one of the most iconic and symmetrical volcanoes in the southern Andes, located on the border between Chile and Argentina.
This 3-day expedition follows the classic route to the summit, ascending through high mountain terrain and snow slopes to reach one of the most aesthetic peaks in Patagonia and Araucanía. The climb offers a true alpine experience with panoramic views across both countries.
The ascent is non-technical but physically demanding, making it an excellent objective for those looking to progress in altitude and experience a classic Andean volcano.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Approach & Base Camp (~2300–2500 m)
Access to Lanín area and approach hike towards base camp.
Progress through forest and volcanic terrain before reaching high mountain environment.
- Hiking time: 4–5 hours
- Focus: approach and acclimatization
Day 2 – Summit Attempt (3776 m)
Early alpine start.
Ascent through snow slopes to reach the summit of Volcán Lanín.
Descent back to BC after summit.
- Total effort: 8–10 hours
- Focus: summit and descent
Day 3 – Descent to Pucon + Hotspring Experience
Descent to trailhead and transfer to Pucón.
End the expedition with a relaxing experience in natural hot springs.

- Focus: summit and recovery
